Rescue Engine and Marine Support Unit bring home awards.
Lieutenant Scott Teter, June 11
On June 10th Personnel took Rescue Engine 7, MSU 7 and Boat 7 to the Colonial Beach Parade.
A lot of pride was displayed preparing the apparatus for competition.
The following were awarded;
Rescue Engine 7
Second Place: Apparatus 1997 and Older Still in Service.
MSU 7
First Place; Basic Life Support Response Unit.

Congratulations

Recently several members of White Oak VFD were recognized for their hard work in completing Certification Courses and or Classes.
KC Clower, and Charles Jones, recognized for completing Academy 01-21.
Matt Bullock and Jose Penal for completing Firefighter II.
Noah Culver and Patrick Korn for completing EMT.
White Oak was honored to host the award ceremony with Stafford Fire Chief Cardello.

Night Out Supporting the Community

On Friday night the White Oak Volunteers had the privilege of supporting a community event at George Washington's Boyhood Home at Ferry Farm. White Oak Engine and Tanker crews on shore acted as a safety standby for any incident that may have arose and the Brush unit and Fire Boat were committed to the fireworks show. White Oak to Widewater, Engine 7 runs County Wide

While in Co. 2 first due taking care of some admin task Engine 7 was dispatched to a fire in Co. 3 first due and responded with four volunteers. Units arrived a short time later and began an aggressive attack, challenges arose as that area is non-hydranted. Crews brought the fire under control, but not before significant damage occured to the structure.... (Full Story & Photos)
